Hello, I’m Hinerangi Courtenay, a graphic designer hailing from New Zealand.

About Me

Before moving to Nice I spent my whole life on my little island (the North Island of New Zealand), so naturally the last discovered country has been a great source of creative inspiration.

I studied Visual Arts at the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (major: Computer Graphics), but as the industry of web design is ever changing, most of what I know concerning web design was learned outside of formal study.

I have a passion for yummy food and pretty pictures. When I’m not working I like baking cupcakes, riding my bike, doing anything crafty, and travelling the world. I’m kind of obsessed with acquiring knowledge, and spend a lot of time reading up on anything and everything. I’m currently learning Spanish and loving it.

You don’t waste any time speaking with receptionists or project managers, so communication is fast and direct, and the project moves quickly.

My native language is English, so for those of you living on the French Riviera, this can make communications far easier if you’re not comfortable speaking French. I also speak French, for all you French-speaking folks.

I hand-code my designs to ensure web pages are semantic and light-weight. This means that pages download fast, are search-engine friendly, and maintenance is easier / cheaper.
